On July 23, 2004, ZEON Kasei Co., Ltd. (2-4-1 Shiba Koen, Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Takao Fukushima), a 100% owned subsidiary of ZEON Corporation (2-6-1 Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Naozumi Furukawa) acquired ISO 14001 certification for its headquarters, including its research institute, through an assessment by Japan Electrical Safety & Environment Technology Laboratories (JET).
As the ZEON Kasei Group focuses on establishing environmental management systems, the entire Group has acquired this certification in a short period of six months. Ibaraki ZEON Kasei Co., Ltd. (1175 Kamiizushima, Iwai-shi, Ibaraki; President: Yoshiyori Saito), a manufacturing subsidiary of ZEON Kasei, had already acquired certification in November 2003 and thus, the entire ZEON Kasei Group has now obtained ISO 14001 certification.

ZEON Kasei Co., Ltd. manufactures and sells various types of compounds, castfilms, and siding materials for use in construction, in addition to low-pollution resin sheets and molded products, energy-saving linear surface heating elements, electrically conductive heat transfer materials that contribute to household appliance recycling, and deodorizing materials that improve the quality of living. In particular, ZEON Kasei has developed numerous environmentally sound products, including non-polluting Lifel Sheet® for food containers; and for construction, wood powder blended resin compounds with improved durability, which are derived by reuse of natural resources.
