Company Policy (Executive Message)

With the slogan of “Aiming to be a high quality corporation,” we aim to be the industry number one company in product quality and company quality in Carbon Master Batch (CMB).
Three priority issues have been raised in the President’s Annual Policy in fiscal 2016, and all employees are tackling them.

  1. Support competence improvement of operations staff by enhancing equipment maintenance and production technology and establish stable and safe production.
  2. Make efforts to reform and improve Carbon Master (CM) production technology, and achieve cost reductions and reduced environmental impact through productivity improvements.
  3. Aim for CM technology base, provide world-class leadership training and strengthen support for group companies.

Efforts to Reduce Environmental Impact

1. Efforts for Zero Emissions from Industrial Waste (100% achievement)
We have been carrying on with our commitment to reducing in-process losses for reducing waste materials and recycling packaging materials. We are actively promoting the re-use and other effective use of generated waste.
2. Reducing CO2 emissions
As a part of our effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, we actively adopted energy-saving equipment and LED lighting. From here onwards, we will be tying-in our environmental measures by analyzing demand and establishing efficient production systems for reducing electrical power consumption.

We are carrying out individual measures for part numbers that require attention for stable production, and conducting improvement activities to stabilze production.

Relationship with Employees

In order to establish stable and safe production, in addition to improving the competence of operations staff, we are conducting world-class leadership training and enhancing support to group companies.
[Concrete efforts]

  • In addition to strengthening the support team in order to establish stable and safe production and eliminate process abnormalities caused by equipment trouble or technology, we are implementing planned employee training such as “Safety Man” training in order to improve capabilities in the workplace.
  • We are also making efforts to educate engineers through technical support to overseas CM related companies focused on the “Overseas Support Office.”

[Concrete efforts]
1. Participation in evacuation site management training
Six employees participated in evacuation site management training held by Tagami School District. We will utilize the content of this training to strengthen our structure for disasters and for information sharing and training.

2. Participation in activities to protect Lake Biwa’s ecosystems
38 employees and family members participated in a non-native fish extermination event held by the “Lake Biwa Restoration Society.” As a part of our regional environmental enhancement activities, we will continue to join in.
