Zeon collects and provides safety information concerning its chemical products, and performs toxicity evaluations.

Chemical Product Safety Information
Provision of information for the proper handling of chemical products
For all Zeon products, we provide Safety Data Sheet (SDS) that record GHS1 classification results, product safety performance, and cautions for handling.
For a portion of products, we disclose safety-related information in the form of safety abstracts, which are released on the GPS/JIPS2 website (ICCA GPS Chemicals Portal Site).

GPS is a new voluntary initiative related to the management of chemicals promoted by the International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA). In Japan, JCIA promotes GPS under the name JIPS and is calling for all member companies to participate.
Participation in voluntary activities by the chemical industry
Zeon provides financial support for research activities by the LRI3involving chemical substance toxicity surveys, safety evaluations, and environmental impact surveys. As a member of the Far East Section of the IISRP4, Zeon also participates in the survey and investigation of environmental issues and the promotion of countermeasures.
- 3. LRI
The Long-range Research Initiative (LRI) is a program that provides long-term support for research into the environmental and health impacts of chemical substances. One of the voluntary activities of the International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA), the initiative is carried out with funding from LRI member companies and under cooperation among the chemical industries of Japan, the United States, and Europe (specifically, the Japan Chemical Industry Association, American Chemistry Council, and European Chemical Industry Council). - 4.
